Big Brands Back GiveToLocal

GiveToLocal is galvanising the support of a growing number of blue-chip brands and famous names as it gears up for a key period of growth and development.

A series of eye-catching announcements confirming new partnerships is planned for this summer in support of the return to sport and the reopening of clubs and small businesses across the country.

And co-founder and CEO Neil Gardiner explains the move to align GiveToLocal with a whole host of household names is a reflection of a significant year ahead.

“We always knew 2021 was going to be a big year for us and we’re primed to make some significant moves,” he says.

“Coming out of lockdown, the return to sport and the reopening of businesses has given everyone involved with GiveToLocal renewed enthusiasm and we’re looking towards the future with genuine optimism.”

GiveToLocal has planned a packed calendar of campaigns for the coming months that will position the organisation front and centre in the drive to reboot community sport following a challenging 12 months.

In collaboration with governing body partners — and backed by sporting personalities — we’re continuing to drive awareness and adoption of our unique service to back sport, boost business and build networks.

And partnering with more like-minded brands to broaden GiveToLocal’s reach and engage more communities has always been part of the wider strategy.

“We’re an outcome-focused organisation,” explains Neil. “From the outset we have led with our focus being on the tangible benefit to clubs and ensuring that our model provides a recurring benefit.

“Sustainability is key. There’s an initial benefit — which is fantastic — but it’s all about building on that benefit over time as we grow an active network of local people and local businesses around each club.

“A big part of that push for sustainability stemmed from our confidence that we could engage big brands who shared our vision for a bright future for our local clubs and small businesses

“We always believed these brands could assist us in delivering our support to where it’s needed most. In turn, we’re perfectly positioned to take these trusted national partners into the heart of communities all over the UK and to reinforce their commitment to those communities.”

GiveToLocal has confirmed a number of key national and regional partnerships during the last 12 months and talks are ongoing to add to an increasingly influential corporate network.

“Our partners can drive genuine, positive change,” adds Neil. “Those that are already on board with us are doing exactly that, day in, day out.

“We have a roster of very recognisable household names lining up to support us and we will be making a series of exciting announcements — in line with our campaigns — during the next few weeks and months.

“Watch this space!”
