One of the biggest stars of the WSL caught up with Justin Lockwood for the latest GiveToLocal Podcast.
And Lucy admitted that playing behind closed doors has been the only downside to a fantastic move.
“This is my first year of playing for United and I’ve really missed having the experience of intense crowds and big game atmospheres,” she said.
“There’s nothing like turning up on a game day and seeing all of the fans. It’s been weird.”
And although Lucy is looking forward to seeing supporters back again she added that United have done everything possible to secure player safety.
“It’s been a strange year but I guess credit to the club that they’ve made sure that all of us have been as safe as possible,” she added.
“And in terms of the football — and playing the game I love — it’s been business as usual.”
Lucy looks back on a career that’s brought about several moves and a number of highs and lows.
And she joins Justin in tackling many of the biggest issues facing the women’s game in 2021.
