Athletics, gymnastics, boxing and American Football clubs can now register with our user-friendly service and take the first steps towards raising vital new funds.
And that takes the number of sports GiveToLocal supports to 14 - with work well underway to ensure more clubs in more sports can benefit.
“When we opened up our service to a range of new sports earlier this year we weren’t expecting so much interest, so soon,” explained Club Engagement Manager, Keith Watson.
“As soon as we made that announcement we were inundated with enquiries from people involved with other sports.
“We took on board the demand to extend GiveToLocal’s service and we promised to help more sports and more clubs at the earliest opportunity.
“Today we’re delighted to bring on board athletics, gymnastics, boxing and American Football.
“But we don’t intend to stop there.
“We know that many more clubs and teams can benefit from our sustainable income model.
“And we intend to welcome more sports into the GiveToLocal community without compromising on the quality of our service.”
GiveToLocal continues to seek advice from national and regional governing bodies to ensure we provide the best - and most aligned - service possible for grassroots teams grappling with the COVID-19 crisis.
“Every day we have conversations with players, coaches, parents and volunteers who are already benefiting from being part of the GiveToLocal family,” added Keith.
“If you’re involved in grassroots sport right now then it’s a very challenging time.
“But there is light at the end of the tunnel and there is a team of dedicated professionals ready to help at GiveToLocal.”
GiveToLocal started working with grassroots football teams in 2019.
Earlier this year we opened up our service to include Rugby Union, Rugby League, basketball, netball, swimming, volleyball, cricket and hockey.
Futsal joined the fold last month and more than 44,000 teams across all 10 sports have registered with GiveToLocal.
