GiveToLocal Partners With Derbyshire FA

GiveToLocal is delighted to announce that Derbyshire has become the latest county Football Association to enter into a formal partnership.

The agreement will see the two organisations working in partnership to deliver a brighter, and more sustainable future for grassroots football clubs across Derbyshire.

And Ryan Haynes, Football Operations Manager for the Derbyshire FA, is confident that GiveToLocal can help clubs generate new streams of income.

“It’s important that we help clubs get back to playing football in a fun and safe environment to allow participants get the health and wellbeing benefits the beautiful game offers,” said Ryan.

“Everyone across grassroots football has been effected by COVID-19.

“Alongside the game itself, club fundraising has also been hit really badly.

“Clubs have been unable to host their usual summer tournaments which usually generate a lot of income for them.

“This now means that clubs will have to look at other ways in which they can raise funds and GiveToLocal offers these clubs the perfect way for them to do so.”

In recent weeks, GiveToLocal has launched a series of regular of interactive webinars, aimed at explaining the benefits of being part of the ever-growing GiveToLocal community and demonstrating the direct impact for clubs.

And Ryan believes that now is the perfect time for communities to come together, in an effort to build up their local areas.

“GiveToLocal is a simple and easy way for proactive clubs to gain a consistent income by working with local people for the benefit of the local community.

“Grassroots football plays a huge part in so many people’s lives. To many people, it’s more than just a game. It offers a great support network that brings joy to so many people.

“One of the few positives to come from COVID-19 is how well communities have come together to try and work through the difficult times.

“It’s important for clubs to work with the local people and local businesses within their area to build connections and relationships because this will then improve the quality of experience for all members of their club.”

And Colin Stromsoy, Director of Strategic Partnerships at GiveToLocal, is excited by the opportunity to be able to support clubs across Derbyshire.

“We’ve had fantastic discussions with Ryan and the team at the Derbyshire FA and we’re absolutely delighted to have entered into a partnership with them,” said Colin.

“They’re a really forward thinking county FA and are giving their clubs great support, just when they need it the most.

“Clubs and communities in Derbyshire have had an exceptionally tough time and we’re determined to ensure GiveToLocal has a sustained and positive impact for clubs here as it has elsewhere.”
