And that’s not all.
We’re planning to make a further, even bigger, announcement next week as we continue to back community sport in the ongoing battle against COVID-19.
This weekend parks, courts and venues across the UK will be missing the usual hustle and bustle of sporting activity due to the restrictions in place across the nation.
And we’re well aware that frustrated players, coaches, parents and volunteers everywhere will be feeling the effects of this.
We’re just as disappointed about the impact COVID-19 is having on community sport. But it will return.
And that’s why all of us at GiveToLocal are directing our positive energy towards supporting lasting change and securing the future of grassroots sport going forward.
We’re announcing a doubling of all donations received in November to ensure that the clubs already using our service have at least one thing to smile about going into a weekend without grassroots sport.
To be clear — we’re not making this announcement to convince people to donate more in November as we know how difficult this situation is for everyone.
Instead, we’re doubling the donations that we’ve already received for registered clubs this month.
It means these clubs can look forward to receiving additional income next month to offset any lost funding during November.
Our team is working hard behind the scenes to ensure we’re doing all we can to back clubs in need.
So keep your eyes peeled for next week’s announcement.
We’ll outline how we intend to take a fresh approach, in response to everything we have learned from working with the clubs across the country which are supported by our service.
The result of the upcoming announcement — and the shift it will enable — will position us to support clubs going forward in the most comprehensive way possible.
Everyone at GiveToLocal is passionate about community sport and we’ll always do our utmost to make sure it survives — and thrives — against the odds.
