Wood Bowled Over By Fintegrate’s Florida Pledge

England World Cup winner Mark Wood has urged families across the UK to get involved with GiveToLocal’s biggest giveaway yet.

Fintegrate Financial Solutions has offered to fly a family of four to Disneyworld Florida in 2021 after pledging its support to our #InspiredToGive campaign

And in a surprise move, popular Durham paceman Mark popped up on our socials to encourage families everywhere to get involved in the sensational promotion.

“I’d urge families everywhere to get behind GiveToLocal’s #InspiredToGive campaign and enter this fantastic giveaway,” he said. “Good luck to everyone!”

Mark is the second England fast bowler to back to GiveToLocal after fellow Geordie Steve Harmison revealed his support last month.

The 30-year-old made his Test debut against New Zealand five years ago and represents England in all forms of international cricket.

Mark starred alongside Durham team-mate Ben Stokes during the 2019 World Cup - which England went on to win following an historic super over.

And after recovering from a side injury - sustained in the World Cup final - the paceman returned to the Test team in South Africa earlier this year.

“It’s fantastic to get Mark on board and he’s as excited about the Disneyworld Florida giveaway as we are,” said GiveToLocal Chief Executive Officer Neil Gardiner.

“I had a conversation with our friends at Fintegrate last month and they explained that they were keen to support the #InspiredToGive campaign.

“When they came back to us and said they’d be prepared to fly a family of four to Florida for a week’s stay at Disneyworld we couldn’t believe it.

“At that point we knew we needed someone special to help us kick off the giveaway and Mark fitted the bill perfectly.

“We’re very proud of our North East roots and to have one of the region’s best loved sportsmen working with us on this is just perfect.”

Fintegrate became aware of GiveToLocal following our launch last December.

But Lee Parkinson, Chief Executive Officer at Fintegrate Financial Solutions, is keen to make an impact on the wider community - including offering support to grassroots sport.
